GW offices make funding available to support investigators and collaborative research groups.
Office of the Vice Provost for Research
The Office of the Vice Provost for Research (OVPR) sponsors various intramural funding competitions throughout the academic year:
University Facilitating Fund
The purpose of the University Facilitating Fund (UFF) is to foster the creation of new research projects and scholarly activities for full-time university faculty. Awards range from $5,000-$25,000 per fiscal year.
Cross-Disciplinary Research Fund
The Cross-Disciplinary Research Fund (CDRF) supports the establishment of collaborative partnerships within Centers and Institutes or between investigators from two or more schools that apply for external funding opportunities. These awards will provide up to $50,000 per year for two fiscal years.
GW International Research Support Programs
The GW International Research Support Programs support original research and new collaborations by providing funds that may be used for travel and travel-related living expenses and/or project-related costs. Projects designed to generate new external funding, research strategies and collaborations receive the highest priority.
Additional Intramural Funding Opportunities
Other GW offices sponsor intramural funding competitions that may be of interest to GW faculty and investigators.
The Office of the Vice Provost for Research also encourages students to participate in the annual GW Research Showcase to present their research and compete for prizes.
