The Research Enhancement Unit (REU) of the Office of the Vice Provost for Research provides investigators at the George Washington University (GW) with services and guidance to successfully apply for federally-sponsored research funding.
REU helps GW investigators increase the competitiveness of their research proposals by:
Providing consultative and scientific editing services;
Delivering professional development workshops, trainings and seminars; and
Facilitating collaboration for large, complex, international and multi-/cross-disciplinary proposals.
REU can assist with conceptualizing the science of a proposal, developing career-based roadmaps for research faculty and project management during proposal development.
Request Editing Services
REU offers proposal editing services to GW investigators applying for federally-sponsored research opportunities.
Virtual Open Door Sessions
To make REU's services more accessible, REU hosts weekly open-door sessions via WebEx. These virtual sessions are open to anyone in the GW community that is looking for information about applying for sponsored research.
REU routinely hosts Faculty Research Salons to spur cross-disciplinary collaboration, grant writing seminars, grantsmanship training and specialized grant management boot camps.
Learn about funding opportunities whose sponsors limit the number of proposals by institution. REU manages GW’s nomination, review and selection process.
