Research/Specialized Service Agreement Classification Tool

The first step in classifying an externally funded project is to review the scope of work in detail. Please answer the questions below. Based on your answers the tool will provide the appropriate classification. 

If you would like to discuss the determination, please email your RST manager with a print summary of your responses, the complete scope of work, and any other relevant documentation. Your RST manager will carefully review the materials and consult with the Office of Sponsored Projects to ensure accurate classification and compliance.

Do the deliverables require specialized analysis, interpretation, or unique methodological approaches?

Will GW retain rights to use the work for educational or research purposes, or does the work provide secondary research or scholarly benefits to the university?
