About the Office of Sponsored Projects

The Office of Sponsored Projects (OSP) serves as a central resource to support the research mission of the George Washington University (GW) by providing guidance and stewardship for investigators and research administrators.

OSP is responsible for:

  • effective and timely handling of research proposals;
  • preparation, interpretation, negotiation and execution of agreements on behalf of GW for projects funded by federal and state agencies, foundations and other external sponsors; and
  • drafting, negotiating and executing awards and subawards for collaborative research.
