Innovation through cross-disciplinary collaboration is a core theme of the university's Strategic Plan. There are a number of resources and programs available to support faculty and investigators engaged in research across disciplines.

Find collaborators by searching Expert Finder, a comprehensive university-wide information repository that showcases GW research, scholarship and expertise. Searches can be conducted by name or keyword.

XD@GW brings people together to exchange ideas and methods across fields and forge creative, innovative teams to work together on complex challenges.

OVPR's Research Enhancement Unit

The Research Enhancement Unit (REU) facilitates research collaborations for large or complex proposals including for projects that are cross-disciplinary in nature.

Cross-Disciplinary Research Fund (CDRF)

The goal of the Cross-Disciplinary Research Fund (CDRF), an intramural funding opportunity sponsored by the Office of the Vice President for Research, is to establish collaborative research partnerships within centers and institutes or between researchers from two or more schools that culminate in applications to external funding opportunities.
