Proposal Development & Submission

Developing a proposal is a time intensive endeavor that requires planning, shepherding resources, collaborating with peers and research support staff and fine-tuning a project’s scope and goals. The Principal Investigator (PI) (aka, Project Director (PD)) is responsible for the overall management of the scientific, technical, financial, compliance and administrative aspects of the sponsored project.  The Principal investigator should follow the steps below for proposal development and submission.  The designated Research Support Team (RST) is available to support the PI throughout the sponsored projects lifecycle. Developing a proposal for a new funding opportunity involves several steps with key deadlines and support from various GW offices and subject matter experts. How do I request access to eRA Commons?

You can request access to eRA Commons by filling out the eRA Commons User Registration form. OVPR will use the information provided on this form for registration in NIH eRA Commons. Once OVPR has registered the user in NIH eRA Commons, the user will receive an email notification message creating their account and password. The NIH eRA Commons website can be accessed via the web here.
