About the Office of Sponsored Projects
The Office of Sponsored Projects (OSP) serves as a central resource to support the research mission of the George Washington University (GW) by providing guidance and stewardship for investigators and research administrators.
OSP is responsible for:
- effective and timely handling of research proposals;
- preparation, interpretation, negotiation and execution of agreements on behalf of GW for projects funded by federal and state agencies, foundations and other external sponsors; and
- drafting, negotiating and executing awards and subawards for collaborative research.

With a leadership team that brings a wealth of experience to their work, OSP undertakes a number of initiatives designed to improve processes and enhance research activities at GW.
