OSP E&T Unit: CRAG January 2024- A Discussion on Artificial Intelligence (AI)
The Office of Sponsored Projects is pleased to be hosting Dr. David Broniatowski, Associate Professor of Engineering Management and Systems Engineering in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, as the featured speaker for this month's CRAG meeting. Dr. Broniatowski will be presenting on The Institute for Trustworthy AI in Law & Society (TRAILS), the first organization to integrate artificial intelligence participation, technology and governance during the design, development, deployment and oversight of AI systems. TRAILS investigates what trust in AI looks like, how to create technical AI solutions that build trust, and which policy models are effective in sustaining trust.
Dr. Broniatowski earned his PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He conducts research in decision-making under risk, group decision-making, system architecture, and behavioral epidemiology. This research program draws upon a wide range of techniques including formal mathematical modeling, experimental design, automated text analysis and natural language processing, social and technical network analysis, and big data.
